(Ticarcillin and Clavulanic Acid 3.1g Vial)

INDICATIONS

  • Septicemia (including Bacteremia)
  • Lower Respiratory Infections
  • Bone and Joint Infections
  • Skin and Skin Structure Infections
  • Uncomplicated and Complicated Urinary Tract Infections
  • Gynecologic Infections (Endometritis)
  • Intra-abdominal Infections (Peritonitis)

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Adults:-

  • Patients weighing more than 60kg: 3.1g every 4 or 6 hours.
  • Patients weighing less than 60kg: 200-300mg/kg/day, given in divided doses every 4 or 6 hours.
  • Intermittent IV infusion over 30 min.
  • Duration of therapy depends upon the severity of infection but is typically 10-14 days; However, in difficult and complicated infections, more prolonged therapy may be required.
